Lectures

The academic year 2012 – 2013 for full-time ECOMEN students is divided into two study periods as follows. The dates are fixed annually.

  1. Autumn Semester - (weeks 36 – 51)
  2. Winter Days - (weeks 51 – 1)
  3. Winter Session - (weeks 2 – 5)
  4. Spring Semester - (weeks 6 – 21)
  5. Spring Session - (weeks 21 – 25)

The period of each Module is marked in the Module description. However, please note that the module may be held anytime during the autumn or spring semesters. Therefore, it is really important for students to actively follow the module schedule updates on the ECOMEN's website:

Credit test and Exams

Credit tests and exams are usually taken during an examination period.

Retaking of a credit test or an exam is paid.

Rules of Examination

The students need to be in the exam hall 15 minutes before the exam. No one is permitted to enter examination hall 15 minutes after beginning of the exam. In the hall mobile phones are not allowed. Bags need to be placed next to the walls. Snacks are not allowed unless a medical condition requires so. No chatting is allowed in the examination hall. Cheating is taken very seriously. If there is even a slightest suspect of cheating, the issue will be dealt with the Faculty administration after the exam. In the cases of proven cheating the consequences are serious.

The record book is needed in the credit test or exam to proof the identity of a student-

The list of exams can be obtained on the website:

Written Course and Diploma Assignments

Courses and Diploma evaluation in ECOMEN – and in Estonian universities in general – is mainly based on written papers and other reports. Therefore, it is recommended (although not compulsory) for students to make themselves aware of the faculty's instructions and guidelines for written course assignments.

Academic integrity policy in ECOMEN is extremely strict. Cheating and plagiarism of any kind will not be tolerated by the Faculty. Cases of violation of the integrity policy are dealt with the Faculty Administration and lead to the assignment of sanctions.
