Today we prepare the experts for tomorrow. The art of managing the economics, production and personnel – are the basics of every company’s success. Shall you come to our Institute there is a way in front of you – a long and hard but exciting way to obtaining prestigious and popular trade. The knowledge you obtain in our Institute will allow you to work both in and in other countries. We will be happy to see you among our students. Our graduates are not afraid of competition.
Our Institute is the only fully accredited private higher education institution with Russian as a language of instructions. It means that every ECOMEN graduate receives a diploma – the same as students of Tartu University , Tallinn University of Technology and any other state Estonian university receive.
Our Institute was established in 1993 as the International Environment and Technology College. After two years it was transformed into the Institute of Economics and Management with branches in Sillamäe and Tallinn and information centers in Narva and Kohtla-Järve. Presently around 700 full-time, part-time, distant and external students are studying in our Institute and all its branches.
Our motto is: ’21st century experts must be educated in humanistic manner, must be ecologically aware and economically efficient’. Knowledge and skills that our students obtain give them opportunity to successfully compete on the market, easily adapt to changing conditions and – if necessary – to master new related specializations. Around 1700 graduates of our Institute are presently working in Estonian companies and banks, while another 300 found jobs in 30 countries worldwide.
Practice demonstrates that having our diploma gives you more than 90% guarantee that as a graduate you will be able to find a job. More than 75% of our graduates are able to find a job according to their specialization!
More than 100 professors – most of them with doctoral or master degrees – teach economics, management, ecology, law, journalism, public relations, sociology and psychology to our students. The Institute employs such leading experts in economics and management as a member of the Estonian Academy of Sciences Mr. Bronshtein, professors Golub, Savenkova, Lukjanov, Bystrova, Barabaner and many others, who’s names are well-known not only in scholarly circles but also to the practitioners. The Institute has one of the best specialized Russian-language science and technical libraries in Estonia.
The Institute has established contacts with many foreign higher education institutions in Latvia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Austria, Italy and other countries.
